No matter where you live in Central Florida, Parkinson Disease Exercise & Support Groups welcome your attendance.

There currently are support groups in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties. The Parkinson Association of Central Florida is looking to add new areas in the future. Before you plan to attend, check with the support group coordinator for location and to ensure the group’s plans haven’t been altered.

Parkinson’s Support Day Programs

These support group meetings are held twice a month in two locations—Orlando and Longwood/Altamonte Springs—and include support group discussions, educational presentations, music therapy, exercise classes, and caregiver break-outs. 

Select Physical Therapy - Support Program

Select Physical Therapy hosts a monthly support group in Osceola County. They lead discussions about available community resources for those with Parkinson's disease. Treatment options are offered at the Select Physical Therapy office. 


Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease support group is a group meeting for those who are 50 and under. Held monthly. Contact the POC for meeting details and check out the Facebook page: Parkinson Outreach Center YOPD chat. 

Parkinson's Disease 101: What You and Your Family Should Know

Florida Hospital Neuroscience Institute Presents a free health lecture, PD 101. This session provides general information and an overview of Parkinson’s Disease for you and your family. RSVP by calling (407)-303-5295.

C.O.P.E.: Care Optimally Parkinson Education

This program prepares caregivers/care partners of those newly diagnosed or for those recently assuming the role of caregiver. Includes education, group discussion, and individual counseling related to caregiving concerns. Topics include Parkinson's education, care planning at each stage, medication management/tools, stress and coping, and more. Offered in different locations at different times contact the POC for additional information. 

Lake County Support Groups for P.D.

Join us for the Lake County Support Group for P.D. every third Tuesday at 3:00 pm. We host 9 meetings through the month of September 2016 - May 2017. We are located at Cooper Memorial Library 2525 Oakley Seaver Dr. in Clermont in room 108 A or 108 B. There will be light refreshments and a program or speaker.
