There currently are support groups in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties. The Parkinson Association of Central Florida is looking to add new areas in the future. Before you plan to attend, check with the support group coordinator for location and to ensure the group’s plans haven’t been altered.

The Florida Hospital Parkinson Outreach Center offers a variety of programs for all ages and stages for those with Parkinson's and their caregivers. These programs include support group meetings, educational presentations, music therapy sessions, exercise classes and caregiver breakout sessions. SELECT PHYSICAL THERAPY - SUPPORT PROGRAM
Osceola County Program
Select Physical Therapy hosts a monthly support group on the first Thursday of every month in Osceola County. They lead discussions about available community resources for those with Parkinson's disease. Treatment options are offered at the Select Physical Therapy office located at 501 East Oak Street Kissimmee. For more information call 407-847-9110.
PARKINSON'S SUPPORT GROUP - FLORIDA HOSPITAL WATERMAN-TAVARES
The Florida Hospital Parkinson Outreach Center offers a monthly support group at Florida Hospital Waterman, 1000 Waterman Way, Tavares on the 2nd Monday of the month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Clermont Support Group
Join us for the Lake County Support Group for P.D. every third Tuesday at 3:00 pm. We host 9 meetings through the month of September 2016 - May 2017. We are located at Cooper Memorial Library 2525 Oakley Seaver Dr. in Clermont in room 108 A or 108 B. There will be light refreshments and a program or speaker. Recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s or just need to understand a bit more about symptoms and what to expect, join the Florida Hospital Parkinson Outreach Center for a PD 101 class. C.O.P.E.-Care Optimally Parkinson Education for Caregivers
Offers caregivers and care partners of those recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s or those who recently have starting taking on the role of caring a special education program just for you. Learn about symptoms of the disease, stages and care planning for each stage, medication management/tools, stress and coping, and more. This program is not just an education class, but a small group support program. PD Link-A Peer-to-Peer support program
PD link is a short-term peer to peer connection for those who have PD or their caregivers who would like to connect with someone individually on an one-on-one basis by phone or email. The program links persons with PD to other persons with PD and caregivers to caregivers to share experiences, and talk with someone who has walked in their shoes. If you are unable to attend a support group or would feel more comfortable talking to someone one-on-one, this program may be for you. YOPD - YOUNG ONSET PARKINSON'S DISEASE Support Group
The Florida Hospital Parkinson Outreach Center offers an every-other month support group meeting from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for those under the age of 50 diagnosed with PD. Parkinson's Care Consulting
You have Parkinson’s-now what? The Parkinson Outreach Center offers free consultation with a Parkinson’s clinical social worker for individuals or family to help guide you towards your goals of understanding the disease and ways to help you manage it.
